I've worked at Prairie States for a few years, and I love it. The jobs are different, so I don't get bored and the people that I work with are really laid back and always try to help if I need it. Anytime I have questions or issues I can call anyone in management, and they always help. Jody and Darby are two of the most amazing people to work for. They are extremely supportive, and they have been there for me throughout the years.

The best company I have worked for appreciate and recognize there employes all in all just a great bunch of people to work for and with.

In three weeks, I will be starting my fourth year of driving at Prairie States. I drive for nine months each year and hide from the snow and cold for three months down south. Prairie States has been great working around my schedule. The equipment is not new, but it works. Safety issues are taken care of in a timely manner. There are a variety of types and if you are flexible there are lots of opportunities to learn. The drivers are an eclectic group. Lot of the hauls are multiple trucks, and it is easy to find other drivers that are more than helpful to give you a hand. Good group, lots of hours, good leadership.

Prairie States Trucking is a great place to work. If you want the hours they give the hours during season, Winter hour comes and goes. They give you time to see your children’s sporting events. What I like is you have a problem they listen and try to figure out how to fix it. This company is a family we all have opinion, and the leaders listen to them might not agree with them, but they listen. They do watch your work progress and give out raises at time.

I joined Prairie States Trucking just over a year ago, and what I have enjoyed most are all the new challenges of an ever-growing company. Whether you are hired as an operator, truck driver, or office employee, you will always have something new on your plate every day.
